So what is a Guardian Home?

It’s a unique opportunity where you raise one of my breeding dogs as your own family pet, at no upfront cost, while I retain breeding rights for a period of time.

As a Goldendoodle breeder serving Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding Texas areas, I intentionally keep my program small so every dog gets the attention they deserve.

Partnering with local families through my Guardian Home Program allows me to continue raising exceptional Goldendoodles… without sacrificing the life each dog gets to live.

What is a Guardian Home?

A Guardian Home is a family who raises one of my breeding dogs as their own pet… while I retain breeding rights for a period of time.

That means:

You get a high-quality Goldendoodle at little to no upfront cost
Your dog lives with you full-time as your family companion
I partner with you for health testing, breeding, and whelping when the time comes

How the Guardian Home Program Works

This program is a partnership. Your dog lives with you as your family pet, and I work with you throughout their breeding career for health testing, breeding, and whelping.

Location Requirements

Guardian families must live within 60 minutes of Garland, TX (75040) so I can easily coordinate care during key times.

This program is ideal for families in:

The Dog

You’ll receive a top-quality Goldendoodle puppy or young adult at little to no upfront cost.

These are not “extra” puppies.

These are carefully selected dogs that represent the future of my breeding program.

Because of that, this comes with shared responsibility.

I remain actively involved throughout your dog’s life for:

health testing
breeding
and, for females, whelping and raising litters

Your dog is always your pet first… but also an important part of my program.

Female Guardian Goldendoodles

Female Goldendoodles in the program typically have 4–6 litters over the course of their breeding career.

Here’s what that looks like:\

She lives with you full-time as your family dog
She stays home with you during pregnancy
She comes to me about 1 week before delivery for whelping
She stays with me while she raises her puppies (typically 6–8 weeks)
Then she returns home to you

This process repeats for each litter, with plenty of time in between for her to simply live life as your pet. Most of her life is spent with you… not with me.

Male Guardian Goldendoodles

Male Goldendoodles may be used for breeding on an as-needed basis.

Here’s what that looks like:

Breeding is occasional and scheduled in advance
Visits are short and do not require extended stays
It does not interfere with their day-to-day life as a family dog

Most of the time, your male will simply be your pet, living life right alongside you.

Retirement and Ownership

Once your dog’s role in my breeding program is complete:

I cover their spay or neuter
Full ownership is transferred to you

No co-ownership. No ongoing obligations.

Just your dog… fully yours.

Guardian Home Responsibilities

This program is a great fit for families who are:

responsive and comfortable staying in regular communication with me

As a Guardian Home, you’ll be responsible for:

providing a safe, stable, and loving home
routine grooming every 6–8 weeks
maintaining your dog’s health, weight, and overall condition
preventing accidental breedings

you’re uncomfortable with your dog being involved in a breeding program
you’re not able to stay in communication or follow program guidelines

To be considered, you must:

live within 60 minutes of Garland, TX
have a secure, fenced yard
be able to commit to long-term care and communication
provide routine veterinary care (breeding-related care is covered)
be willing to follow my nutrition and care recommendations
provide a stable home environment

Is this really my dog?

Yes. Your guardian dog lives with you full time as your family companion. Breeding is a small part of their life, not the definition of it.

How often is my dog gone?

Most of the time, your dog is with you.

Can I use my own vet?
